Texas Isaiah

Texas Isaiah is a first-generation visual storyteller born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. He is an autodidact with a strong passion for travel, allowing his work and creative process to transcend geographical boundaries. In 2020, Texas Isaiah made history as one of the first known trans photographers to photograph a cover for Vogue, featuring notable figures such as Janet Mock, Patrisse Cullors, Jesse Williams, and Janaya Future Khan. He received the Art Matters grant in 2018 and completed an artist residency at the Studio Museum in Harlem for the 2020-2021 term. Texas Isaiah's work has been exhibited internationally at Aperture, Schirn Kunsthalle, Dalhousie Art Gallery, NS, The Kitchen, the Studio Museum in Harlem, and the Hammer Museum, among others.
