Multi-instrumentalist and composer, Tara Jane ONeil creates melodic and experimental music under her own name and in collaboration with artists of all disciplines. As a solo artist, TJO has released 7 full-length albums internationally. JMY JAMES KIDD designs dances, clothing, and community spaces as James Kidd Studio. Tara Jane and Jmy live and work together in Los Angeles. Since 2012 Oneil and Kidd have been exploring notions of somatic listening, to develop a body of work which encourages complementary vibrational parallels. The work is both music and dance, it uses intention and receptivity to weave the air of space. Their wild and ecstatic pieces have been performed at the New Museum (NY), the Hammer Museum (LA), High Desert Test Sites (Joshua Tree), REDCAT (LA), Honor Fraser Gallery (LA), the Skirball Center (LA), and many other natural and theatrical venues.
