The BOFFO Residency Fire Island will feature the work of Item Idem, with a new site specific installation taking place on the beach. I.B.M: (inoperant body masses) blends mediums of public art & collaborative workshops within the social realism intrathecally subdued by the inner functions of vacation & leisure, anthropological DJ item idem announces I.B.M. as an endeavor to satisfy his petite appetite for gigantism & taste for various social experiments. Performing the artistically required talents of demonstrating, teaching, but also stockpiling, the artist's investigative skills intend to develop a cathartic model of persuasion & channels realms of construction and art-making with visual technics appropriated from notions of psychological warfare or visual communication. I.B.M. will be able for viewing & public participation from Saturday, July 27th.
