Since 2016 the genderless line Telfar has been transitioning away from traditional fashion into an exhibition and performance-based model of distribution — collaborating with various artists on the production of conceptual shops. Over the years Fire Island has been the huge inspiration for our collections — making clothes that facilitate a *very* specific set of social functions. Telfar: Cruise is a capsule collection designed specifically for Fire Island and sold at a constantly moving mobile shop. The mobile shop is made out of 42 buckets and three metal poles, and designed by Lizzie Fitch. It features mannequins sporting Clemens’s face, courtesy of Frank Benson.
