The SPIT! The manifesto is a series of performance interventions that use speech acts and performative gestures inspired by queer manifestos from the 1970s to the present. In 2017, commissioned by Frieze Projects, London, SPIT! wrote five manifestos that respond to contemporary pressing issues of sexual and gender oppression and which have been performed and interpreted by different queer performance artists since around the world. SPIT! also published The SPIT! Manifesto Reader, an anthology of historical and contemporary queer manifestos.

Vivian Crockett (with SPIT!) is a New York-based, Brazilian-American researcher, scholar, and curator specializing in modern and contemporary art, currently working independently with various institutions. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Art History at Columbia University whose work focuses largely on the art of African diasporas, (Afro) Latinx diasporas, and the Americas at the varied intersections of race, gender, and queer theory. Vivian was the 2017-18 Mellon Museum Research Consortium Fellow in Media and Performance Art at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and is currently a Joan Tisch Teaching Fellow at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Camilo Godoy (with SPIT!) is an artist based in New York. He is currently participating in the group exhibition “Nobody Promised You Tomorrow”: Art 50 Years After Stonewall at the Brooklyn Museum.

Jason Guevara/Jenn D’role is a 27 year old Two-spirit, Scottish, Cuban, Latinx, Disco, around the way girl, alien, bruja, Goddess, Drag Performer based in New York. Miami roots and New York boots. Non-binary/genderfluid, They, Them, Theirs.
