Macy Rodman is a N.Y.C. based musician, comedian, and performance artist. For over a decade, Rodman has been a fixture
of the Brooklyn and Downtown underground club scene, and in
that time has produced three full length albums that cross genres
from pop to dance to post punk. Described by Document Journal as “an uncompromising performer, dedicated to pushing unassuming audiences well beyond their respective comfort zones”,
Macy has performed for audiences ranging from Austin’s South
by Southwest Festival to L.A.’s The Broad Museum.
Absurd humor draws a line connecting the varying modes of
Rodman’s art practice. From 2012-2015, Macy first entered the
cabaret space with the cult hit variety show BathSalts: A Drag
Show 4 F*ckups. Her current residency, Macy Rodman is…Trash
Can Liza, is a surreal exploration of Broadway through a punk
lens; allowing the multi-hyphenate to once again combine her
signature brand of comedy with heartfelt musical performances
in an intimate setting.Macy Rodman is NYC’s funny, punk rock
